Technology as a Learning Tool
Across all year groups Kindergarten to Year 12, students are explicitly taught ICT skills in preparation for them to be active and informed digital citizens. Students and staff have access to a broad range of opportunities to embed technology into their day to day teaching and learning. Interactive White Boards (IWB's) in every Primary classroom, Interactive Projectors for Secondary school, two computer labs, designated ICT skills sessions integrated into curriculum delivery, free wifi, computer to student ratio's far exceeding DEC requirements, electronic Diary access for students, electronic roll marking and the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program are just a few of these opportunities.


Sentral takes care of the maintenance, management, development, and backup, of school

Electronic diary (eDiary) is an online school diary that can be accessed from school or home from multiple electronic devices. It allows students to insert homework, refer to school policies, check up-to-date school event information, keep a record of their homework progress and due dates. Parents can also establish an account and monitor their child's designated work and upcoming events.

A blog (an abbreviate of weblog) is a personal website, organised like a diary or journal, which shows the autor's most recent additions first. In some cases the readers of the blog are able to create a 'post' to a blog or 'comment' on a post. BlogED was developed specifically for DET students and teachers in accordance with DET policies and guidelines.
Moodle is a learning management system (LMS) that has become a very popular tool among educators around the world. It is a dynamic online web site that is accessed by students and teachers.
