Students in Year 12 were lucky enough to see 2 live shows in Sydney on Sunday November 3rd and Monday November 4th.
The first show was at the Lyric Theatre and it was the amazing musical 'Billy Elliot.'
Every one of the students thoroughly enjoyed every element of the production and performance. The dancing, acting and set were incredible. The kids had the opportunity to meet with some members of the cast after the show and were amazed by the transformation from the characters they saw on stage to the real people they got to chat with. No wigs or costume and no accent!
The second show, 'Cosi', was performed at the Sydney Opera House. 'Cosi' is a famous Australian play about a play, being directed in a mental institution. Students were treated to fine performances from wonderful Australian actors and thoroughly enjoyed the show!
Students also participated in 3 practical workshops with Belvoir Theatre and ATYP; The Australian Theatre For Young People. The students were fabulous and learned a great deal about their craft in preparation for the HSC.
