My Year 4 Camp Diary

by Finley Stewart

Day 1

On the 23rd of October, Year 4 went to Kianinny Bush Cottages in Tathra for school camp; we were on the bus for just under 3 hours (we weren’t allowed to sing wheels on the busL). When we arrived at Kianinny we were allocated our rooms and changed into our swimmers to go to the beach. At the beach, we played games like flags, peg the pig, the ultimate shoe game and a competition that we had to build a course for our tennis balls and the longest course wins. After all that, we had a swim and went back to Kianinny. Before dinner we had 90 minutes of free time to play games. For dinner we had lasagne and apple crumble with custard. After that we played games and did a night walk.

Day 2

Every one woke up earlier than they were supposed to because they were excited for the day’s activities. My group did archery, canoeing, flying fox and low ropes. In the afternoon we had 90 minutes of free time for dinner we had roast beef with gravy, roast potatoes and pumpkin for dessert we had ice cream with fruit. After dinner we watched a movie, Open Season 3 then we went to bed.

Day 3

Everyone was very sad to be leaving after all the fun we had at Kianinny but we had 2 more activities to go before we had to leave. My group played mini golf and participated in the sensory activity, where you are blindfolded and your trustworthy group mates have to guide you around an obstacle course. After those two activities, we had salad rolls before we had to leave. Unfortunately on the way to Kianinny to pick us up, one of the buses broke down so one group was later to arrive than the other.
