Each year, year 6 students at JCS fundraise to donate a gift to the school when they graduate. When it came time to make a decision on what to buy drew near, bush fires had been burning all over NSW.

Upon hearing this news, Stage Three students decided they wanted to help and give the gift of giving in 2019. The students decided to donate their money evenly to each schools P & C to help the schools rebuild.
They contacted the schools to share the news. Rick Clissold the Director of Educational Leadership in the Taree Network responded to JCS students thanking them for their generosity and saying the gift would help the school rebuild.
Wytaliba Public Schools relieving principal Kelly Murphy also expressed how grateful the school were for the students donation.
The students of Year 6 2019 also created three art works to commemorate their gift, one art work remains at the school while the other two were sent to the schools who received the donations.
