This term Jindabyne Central School Primary students have been enjoying dance lessons supplied by ‘Groove Nation’.
Students from 2D have especially enjoyed heading to the gym every week to dance using the big screen. Each session they carefully followed the steps in the warm up ensuring that their muscles were ready to learn some cool hip hop moves. Helicopters and side flips are a few moves that the students have really enjoyed. The cool down is a chance for them to catch their breath and reflect on the moves that they have just learnt and practised. The students have been working hard on a performance piece, learning new moves each week and putting them together to showcase a Super Hero dance. We can’t wait to share it with our community before the end of the year.
When speaking with the students about what they enjoyed about the lessons, Zac said that dancing is good exercise and Matilda said that she enjoys practising the performance dance every week as there are so many fun moves but it’s hard to remember. Max said, “Dancing with Mr JB is fun as you get to learn a new hip hop move every day!”
2D will keep on groovin’ every week during Term 3 and into Term 4!
