NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given, in writing, to the office.
At Jindabyne Central School, Combined Christian SRE is delivered on Thursdays from 11:50am to 12:25pm for K-2 students.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will participate in meaningful activities based on social skill development, Growth Mindset and Resilience.

Christian SRE is provided by SRE teachers from the Combined Churches of Jindabyne. The approved provider in this combined arrangement is the Uniting Church of Australia. All Christian SRE teachers are authorised and trained by an approved provider.
The Christian SRE curriculum is authorised by the Uniting Church of Australia. The curriculum is based on biblical concepts, themes and major characters, allowing students to explore the Christian faith and see how it is relevant today.
