What is bullying?

Bullying behaviour is defined as an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm.
A checklist to help define whether an incident is bullying or conflict is to ask:
Any behaviour that causes a student to feel unsafe or unhappy at school is a concern
Not all behaviour will be bullying behaviour
How we help our students will depend on identifying the behaviour and working with children, parents and teachers together
