On Monday 18 November, Year 10 students were involved in a Leadership & Transition Day to help prepare them for yr 11 senior school as well as focusing on employability / foundation skills- School to Work.
The day was held at Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre and focused on a variety of topics to empower our students and works with the R.O.A.R program (Relationships, Outdoors, Action & Resilience)
"The students rose to the challenge and learnt the importance of effective communication and planning with Jedi knights, Teamwork in getting out of the Puzzlerooms, and pushed their limits with the High Ropes Course," said Anna Campbell JCS Year 10 Advisor.
This day was part of a two week program involving year 10 students in:
Preparation for year 11 activities
Linking employability / foundation skills for school to work opportunities
Coping strategies for year 11 and lifelong skills
Work experience – Monday 25th November to Friday 29th November 2019
