Year 7 have been investigating Human Body Systems. In class last week, students completed a dissection of a chicken wing to observe Muscles and Bones.
The chicken wing has very similar structures and functions to that of a human arm. Students were able to make connections and use their gained knowledge of the Muscular and Skeletal system to identify similarities between the chicken wing and their own arm.
We had a few students who were skirmish during the dissection, however, most students performed the dissection like true biologists.
